  2. Pick a preset or enter your own width and height in pixels.
  3. Add a maximum file size in KB if your form needs one.
  4. Click Resize photo, then download the result.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize a photo to a specific file size in KB?

Upload your photo, type the maximum size in the "Max file size (KB)" box, for example 50, and click Resize photo. The tool lowers the quality step by step until the file fits under your limit. If that is not enough, it also makes the image slightly smaller.

How do I make a passport or ID photo?

Choose a preset such as Passport / ID (35×45 mm) or US passport / visa (2×2 in). The photo is cropped to the right shape and resized to the correct pixel size at 300 DPI. Always check the rules of the office or website you are applying to, because requirements differ by country.

Which format should I choose: JPG, PNG or WebP?

JPG gives the smallest files for photos and works everywhere, so it is the best choice for most forms. PNG keeps sharp edges and transparency but the files are larger. WebP is small and modern, but some websites do not accept it.

Is this photo resizer free?

Yes. It is free, with no sign-up and no watermark.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. Your photo is processed inside your own browser and never leaves your device, so it stays private.

Why is my result smaller than the size I entered?

When you set a very low KB limit, the tool may need to reduce the pixel size as well as the quality to fit. A note under the result tells you when this happens. Increase the KB limit if you need the exact pixel size.
